“Warwick in History” – On this day in 1970, the Warwick Branch of the American Association of University Women celebrated its tenth anniversary with a special program, dinner, and a presentation of a ten-year history of the group. Seventy women were members at the time.

During a successful ten years of growth, the Warwick Branch shared many programs with the public. These included the creative and cultural workshops at the library and movies and puppet shows for children; study groups, such as art, China, modern novel, zoning, drama and others; concerts; regular bridge benefits; United Nations Day celebrations; etc.

Women from Greenwood Lake, Florida, Monroe, Chester, Goshen, Pine Island and other nearby towns, as well as Warwick, looked forward to another inspiring ten years with excitement.
