2007 Under the Tent Party

"Good Ole Country Fun" will be the theme of the Historical Society's annual Under the Tent Party and benefit, to be held on Saturday, August 25 at the Society's Lewis Park on Main Street from 6 to 9 pm.

The event is open to the public. Attendees are promised great food and drink, exciting silent auction items and a raffle. There will be square dancing to the music of the Glory Bound Band, a five-piece string band composed of three generations of musicians.

Tickets are $50 per person and are available by calling the Society office at 845-986-3236, dropping by the Baird Tavern office on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 10 am and 1 pm or visiting the website at www.warwickhistoricalsociety.org. This is the major fund raiser of the Warwick Historical Society and all money collected from ticket sales goes directly into the preservation of Warwick's seven museum buildings and parks.

In addition, contributions for the printed ad journal are being collected by Debbie Kennedy, and individual sponsor donations by Marina Alario. The deadline for contributions for both the ad journal and the individual sponsors is August 15. Checks may be made out to the Warwick Historical Society at P.O. Box 353, Warwick, NY 10990.
